Quarterly Fuel Tax Reports are due this month under the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA). The quarterly report covers distance traveled and fuel amounts purchased in all participating jurisdictions carriers have operated within. Exemptions include Mexican States, Washington DC, Hawaii, Alaska, and Canadian territories.

Carriers are required to keep proper records of all IFTA and non-IFTA reported vehicles. If carriers fail to keep a proper record of filed IFTA reports they can suffer additional tax, a large penalty, and interest.
