DOT Compliance

This is a foundation course for understanding compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. This course will provide a comprehensive review of regulatory compliance as well as how to prepare and what to expect during a compliance review audit. 

Topics to be discussed include but are not limited to: 

  • Hours of service
  • Driver logs
  • Entry-level driver training
  • Drug/alcohol testing
  • Driver qualification files
  • Vehicle maintenance files.

Hours of Service

The seminars will discuss the new regulations that took effect on September 29, 2020. The new rules aim to provide drivers with greater flexibility while maintaining safety on our nation’s roads. Participants will be given information to understand what the changes are to the hours of service rules, including allowing drivers to split their off-duty time.

Understanding the Driver Qualification process

This course is designed to help you understand the specific requirements that classify a driver as “qualified” as well as how to appropriately maintain the required documentation needed to stay in compliance.
