Are you ready for the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) International Road Check 2022? This year’s International Road Check is May 17th – 19th with an objective to ensure safety for drivers and travelers across all roadways.

The annual 72-hour roadside inspection blitz includes more than 40,000 commercial motor vehicle (CMV) inspections across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Commercial motor vehicle inspectors will examine large trucks and motorcoaches as well as the driver’s documentation and credentials using CVSA’s North American Standard procedures which will ensure consistency in inspections, compliance, and enforcement.

This year’s focus is wheel ends and that would include tires, hubs, brakes, rims, slack adjusters, and wheels. This is to ensure that the components that are critical to safe and successful braking, stability, and control are working efficiently.

Also, be sure that drivers have had a query through the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Database in the last year as enforcement will be checking this as well. If you have questions about this or any other mandates please contact the Director of Safety, Kelly Krapu. TrueNorth Compliance Services is dedicated to helping you navigate all rules and regulations.
